OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES The Affairs of GAMA are directed by its Officers (President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and Board of Trustees composed of the five Officers, the Immediate Past President and six elected members. MEMBERSHIP Active membership is of two categories: 1) Regular dues paying members, and 2) Emeritus, Active Dues Exempt and Retired members. Special categories of membership are also available, such as those for members of the Armed Forces and Public Health Service, for members of national medical societies of foreign countries and for Bernalillo County doctors who are serving abroad in missionary, educational or philanthropic work. Residents serving in AMA approved training programs are also eligible for full membership at reduced rates. This full membership makes available to Residents all privileges of Active Membership. Notices of the meetings are contained the monthly newsletter, GAMA Reports. The meetings are customarily held in the evening with a program for information and a brief business meeting following dinner. Spouses are welcome at these meetings.
